Hola, me llamo Tommy García y soy fotógrafo!
Photographer and Director based in Los Angeles and New York.
I was born and raised in Southern California with a love for the arts, but my main focus was sports until I turned 18. Once it became clear I wasn’t headed for a multi-million dollar contract in the NFL or MLB, I started looking for a new direction. I signed up for an intro to photography class at a local community college thinking it’d be an easy A… it turned out to be anything but. It challenged me in the best way and completely changed my path. Within weeks of picking up a professional camera, I knew this was what I wanted to do.
I earned my BFA in Art and Design with a focus in Photography from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and got my start working as a Digital Tech for some of the industry’s top photographers. Eventually, I made the jump to full-time shooting, and looking back now, I’m still blown away by how far this journey has taken me. Every time I open my site, I feel incredibly grateful for the amazing clients who’ve trusted me to bring their vision to life.
Recent work said clients have trusted me with include Apple+, Amazon Prime, Tubi, Peacock, Nickelodeon, Fox, Directv, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Beats by Dre, MLB Network, Roku, and Warner Bros. I don’t enter photo contests, so I don’t have awards to list… oops. But I stay hungry for new creative challenges and collaborations that push my work forward.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’ve traded my baseball glove for a golf obsession. So if you ever need to fill a tee time spot, I’m your guy!
