ABOUT Although artistically inclined from a young age growing up in Huntington Beach, CA, my interests were primarily devoted to athletics until the age of 18. However, when it became very clear that a multi-million dollar contract with the NFL or MLB was not in my future, I began directing my energy elsewhere. In hopes of earning an "easy A" at a local community college, I enrolled in an introductory photography course. To my surprise, it turned out to be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. Within weeks of picking up a professional camera for the first time, I was well on my way to a career in commercial and editorial photography. Now with a BFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, my natural eye for artistic composition has been refined into a technical expertise. I feel my ability to utilize both studio and available light renders my work with a truly powerful aesthetic, most evident in my portraiture, which highlights the atmospheric relationship between subject and environment. Some of my recent clients include Fox, DirecTV, NBCUniversal, Weider Publications, Time Inc., Harris Publications, DRAFTFCB, Simon & Schuster and Studio Number One. I was a Hollywood Reporter Key Art Award recipient in 2007, and also received academic accolades throughout my formal education. My goal is to continue to take on new creative challenges, build an ever-expanding list of clientele and, when I have free time, continue to crush baseballs in the batting cages.
